Spend a relaxing and enriching day in beautiful Orange, Texas as we explore the breathtaking Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center and the historic W.H. Stark House. Our day begins at Shangri La, a 252-acre botanical garden and nature preserve nestled along Adams Bayou. Stroll through thoughtfully designed gardens, peaceful walking paths, and scenic boardwalks while enjoying seasonal blooms, native plants, and abundant wildlife. The garden’s serene setting offers the perfect opportunity to slow down, take photos, and soak in the natural beauty of Southeast Texas. Next, we’ll step back in time with a guided tour of the W.H. Stark House, a beautifully preserved 1894 Queen Anne–style home. This historic mansion showcases original furnishings, fine art, and decorative pieces collected by the Stark family, offering a fascinating glimpse into Texas history and early 20th-century life.

Please note that this trip will involve a fair amount of walking, particularly at the gardens. We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and bringing a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day. Lunch will be at a local restaurant in between the scheduled tours.
