FAQ -
Q: I'm not a counselor or therapist. Will this workshop still help me?
A. Absolutely. This isn't clinical training. It's soul-level equipping. This workshop is for everyday people who care - friends, teachers, co-workers, managers, nurses, church volunteers, spiritual leaders, and neighbors. You don't need clinical training to offer a powerful healing presence. If you've ever said, "I want to help, but I just don't know what to say," - this workshop is for you.
Q. What exactly will I walk away with?
A.You'll leave with a new sense of confidence to serve those who are grieving. You'll learn what helps and what doesn't and how to say the right thing when there are no words. You'll also receive a Presence Toolkit- full of simple scripts, reflection prompts, and quiet ways to keep showing up long after the casserole brigade has stopped.
Q. What if I'm the one grieving? Can I still come?
A. Yes, please come. You are especially welcome. Many participants attend The Gift of Presence Workshop with a grieving heart of their own. This workshop offers a safe space to receive and to learn how your own story of loss can become a gift to others. You'll be gently supported and may find peace not only in what you receive-but in learning how your own story can someday be a healing presence for someone else.
Q. What makes this different from a lecture or seminar?
A: This is not a lecture. It's a heart-centered experience. This is a hands-on, heart-led experience. It's not about theory - it's about transformation. Through stories, guided reflections, real-world examples, and personal connection, you'll learn by experiencing, not just listening. Expect warmth, safety, and transformation-not just information.
Q: What if I get emotional or can't participate fully?
A: That's okay. Tears are welcome. Silence is respected. This workshop honors vulnerability. Grief is emotional - and being present for others often starts with acknowledging your own tenderness. You'll never be put on the spot, and all participation is at your comfort level. This is a space of grace, not pressure.
Q: I'm busy. Why should I give up a whole day for this?
A: Because someone you love will grieve, and when that moment comes, you don't get a do-over. One day of your time can give you a lifetime of confidence to be present in the moments that matter most. You'll gain lifelong tools to use to comfort those you care about.
