Join us for an exciting four-day summer camp designed for 6th-8th graders, in partnership with Baytown Animal Care and Control. This camp offers an in-depth exploration of animal care, shelter operations, responsible pet ownership, animal behavior, and advocacy. Campers will develop critical thinking, leadership skills, and hands-on experience through direct engagement with shelter animals, interactive projects, and discussions on ethical animal treatment and careers in animal welfare.

Camp Schedule:

Days 1 & 2: Held at Lee College, focusing on advanced knowledge, ethical discussions, and hands-on preparation.
Days 3 & 4: Held at Baytown Animal Care and Control, where campers will participate in direct animal care, behavior training, and advocacy projects.
By the end of the camp, participants will be able to:

Explain the role of animal shelters and the challenges they face.
Analyze animal behaviors and apply training techniques.
Understand the ethical and financial responsibilities of pet ownership.
Develop leadership and advocacy skills to support animal welfare.
