This class prepares the EKG Technician student to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular ailments by performing diagnostic tests to assess the heart rhythm and rate in patients. Coursework includes the fundamentals of anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system, medical terminology, ethical/legal aspects, interpretation of basic dysrhythmias, appropriate treatment modalities, and communication skills. *This course has two required Saturday sessions.
